Traders count losses as midnight fire guts Rivers timber market


A midnight fire has gutted Timber market in the Marine Base axis of Port-Harcourt.

The Nation gathered the fire began from the casket section of the market around midnight before spreading into the early hours of Thursday.

No fire fighters have been moblilised to the scene of the inferno, which has left shop owners and traders with massive losses.

Most shops and goods in the market have been razed.
