FIFA Set to Step in Amid Transfer Row of Victor Osimhen As Deal Announcement Nears

Victor Osimhen's proposed permanent move to Galatasaray from Napoli is facing complications, with the Turkish club prepared to seek FIFA’s intervention to resolve their ongoing dispute with the Serie A side.
The 26-year-old Nigerian striker has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray and is keen to return following a prolific loan stint last season, during which he scored 37 goals and provided eight assists in 41 appearances.
Despite receiving a massive €160 million contract offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal, Osimhen turned it down, focusing instead on securing a full-time switch to Istanbul.
Galatasaray and Napoli have been in protracted talks, with Galatasaray offering to meet Osimhen’s €75 million release clause through structured payments—€40 million upfront and the remaining €35 million spread over two years. They’ve also promised to back the deal with bank guarantees, according to Spanish outlet AS.
However, Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has introduced new conditions, reportedly demanding a 20% sell-on clause and assurances that Osimhen won’t be transferred to another Italian club within the next three years.
Galatasaray has rejected these additional stipulations and is threatening to escalate the matter to FIFA if Napoli refuses to compromise, claiming the new demands are unreasonable.
Despite the dispute, Galatasaray remain optimistic and are preparing to officially unveil Osimhen as their latest signing in the coming days.
