Regina Chukwu Recounts Horrifying Kidnap Experience After Lodging in Hotel with Akin Lewis

Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has opened up about a terrifying experience she had after working on a movie set with veteran actor Akin Lewis. In a video shared on her official YouTube channel, Regina Chukwu TV, the actress recounted how she was kidnapped from a hotel where she and Akin Lewis had lodged for the night.

According to her, she was invited to a movie set and was only meant to stay for a day. However, the producer insisted she spend the night, as Akin Lewis needed to leave early the next morning. She was then taken to a hotel alongside the actor.

"Upon arriving at the hotel, I noticed it was filled with prostitutes, and I immediately told the producer and Akin Lewis that I didn’t feel comfortable staying there," she explained. "Akin Lewis pleaded with me to stay, and out of respect for his age and reputation, I agreed. That decision remains one of my biggest regrets."

Regina said she began hearing disturbing noises outside her room but chose to stay inside. While preparing to sleep, kidnappers broke into her room and forcefully took her away.

"They drove me to an unknown location, used my ATM card to withdraw all the money in my account, and eventually let me go—giving me only one thousand naira for transport," she added.

The Lagos Police Command has arrested socialite, Mike Eze, popularly known as Pretty Mike over the alleged breaching of COVID19 protocols by Cubana Nightclub.   The Nation reports that Eze is alleged to be a director in the Cubana group and went to the Bar Beach Police Division on Thursday morning, March 4, following last weekend’s arrest of 172 workers and clubbers at the Victoria Island branch of the nightclub.   The police on Monday, March 1, vowed to arrest the club owners or anyone who came forward to push the reopening of the nightclub as the club had consistently violated the COVID19 protocols.   Confirming his arrest, Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu said Eze would be charged to court after he denied being a director at the club.   “Yes, we have arrested him and I have directed he be transferred to Ikeja where he would be charged to court'' Odumosu said"
