Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), a former military president, has received accolades as well as widespread criticisms in regard to the recent launching of his autobiography, titled 'A Journey in Service’, which unfolds several revelations regarding the fight for democracy in Nigeria.
Things took a different turn as public figures in Nigeria announced about N17.5 billion in donations to the IBB Presidential Library project in the course of the occasion.
However, in the video, the Nigerian lawyer, Femi Falana, criticised the development, noting that it's the first time in the history of the world where a military dictator sets up a presidential library.
He also cited the need for taxation, as he questioned rhetorically how these prominent individuals could have such a colossal amount of money in their possession.
According to the video, "They gathered here last week, and within a few minutes, not less than N17 billion was raised. Who died?".
