Young Lady Brutally Beaten To Death By Boyfriend After Paying Him A Visit

The 23-year-old Gbolahan Adebayo has reportedly been apprehended by police in Alimosho, Lagos, for allegedly killing his girlfriend in an assault that took place in the Ijedodo neighbourhood. This information was reported by Punch newspaper.

According to those in the know, the tragic event happened on Friday while the victim was paying a visit to the residence of the suspect.

According to a local resident named Akin, who spoke with our reporter on Monday, the 23-year-old victim's cries for help began to reverberate around midnight, when she was allegedly being violently attacked by her boyfriend.

Adebayo apparently seemed to be worried when he raised the alarm at dawn after discovering his girlfriend had gone unresponsive after the severe assault, according to Akin.

The event was officially reported to the authorities at the Isheri-Oshun Police Division on Sunday by a neighbour of the suspect, according to a police insider who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorised to discuss the issue publicly.

According to the source, the woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment after the savage assault, but she did not survive the ordeal and the event was not reported to the police.

The source states that the neighbour came clean about the occurrence two days ago, saying that they tried to revive the victim at first but were unable.

A squad of police officers was quickly sent to the location once this information was made public, starting an ongoing inquiry into the situation.

When asked about the incident, Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, confirmed its existence, lending credence to previous allegations.
